Greater Manchester Police have been

of covering up historic child sex abuse over the past 15 years. The horrific child abuse suffered by girls in Manchester was ignored by the council, as no action was taken. Children would beg to be taken out of the city, in one case a victim of this abuse said she was ‘too involved with Asian men.’

Maggie Oliver a retired detective who uncovered widescale abuse, but this was close immediately in 2005 by GMP. Maggie Oliver has slammed officials responsible for dropping the enquiries, she recently spoke at the launch of the Operation Augusta report ‘15 years the perpetrators that we knew on Operation Augusta were abusing generations of children were allowed to walk free.’ Maggie Oliver continued to say, ‘it isn’t a mistake, it was a deliberate and intentional desire to bury the truth.’

Chief Constable of West Midlands, Dave Thompson denied being involved in closing down a grooming gang investigation in Manchester. The constable Dave Thompson was a district commander with the Manchester police at the time. Greater Manchester Police relaunched the grooming investigation, called ‘Operation Green Jacket.’ This has identified 53 potential victims, 48 of them were in council care homes at the time.

Over 50 years Sikh females have been targeted and sexually abused by grooming gangs. Evidence which has been collated by British Sikh organisations have recorded cases of sexual abuse against Sikh females, by grooming gangs mainly from Pakistani/Muslim heritage.

This very much links to the reports we are hearing about today. These cases have been covered by police for many years now, just like they did with the white females in Manchester. The grooming gangs are were sexually abusing Sikh females and this still happens today. The RASE Report goes into depth about how grooming gangs trap Sikh females into drug addiction, rape and abusing them. The report goes through the process of grooming gang work and their approach, nothing has changed in the way the lure Sikh females.
